Do you want to keep track of your stock portfolio without much hassle? Use StocksCafe! Previously, I used a google spreadsheet to keep track of my transactions and overall portfolio but that was a very long and tedious process. Thus, I went online to look for a portfolio tracker. I found a few like Bloomberg and Investing.com but they weren’t very user friendly. They don’t have that many features as I’d like too so I continued searching. Soon I stumbled upon StocksCafe and have been using it ever since!
I’ve been using StocksCafe for over a year now, subscribing to their premium service called “Friends with StocksCafe”, which opens up many more features for you to use !
StocksCafe
StocksCafe started out a few years back as “SGXcafe”. It was originally created as a personal project by Evan Koh (Creator of StocksCafe). It was intended for his own personal use to help him in his journey to financial freedom. Later on, he decided to share it publicly for others with similar goals to use as well !
Functionalities
The 3 Main Functions :
- Track & Monitor Your Portfolio
- Discover and Screen Stocks Through the Various Exchanges
- Research and Understand Stocks
Here is the full list of features available in StocksCafe as of today !
As you can see, there are TONS of features and functions you can make use of even if you are just a free user ! Keep on reading as I’ll share a way for you to test and try out the premium features at the end!
Portfolio Tracker
The portfolio tracker is very straight-forward as it displays your entire portfolio. This includes cost per share, overall cost, dividend yield, overall P&L and many more. Here is a full list of what it can display!
It is also very easy for you to calculate your P&L for your closed positions as it tracks it down for you as you can see !
Screener
Personally, I love the screener a lot and I use it very often when looking for companies to invest in. There are way too many in the market and it’ll take a long time to look through every single one. With the screener feature in StocksCafe, you can easily screen through not just the Singapore Exchange but also the HKEX, KLSE, US Exchanges and TSE. This is really really convenient and there are tons of ways to customize your screeners! You can add as many or as little conditions as you want and it’ll screen out companies that meet those conditions.
Watchlist & Alerts
This is also another feature I use very frequently. On StocksCafe, you can actually set a watchlist for stocks you want to keep an eye on!
The watchlist feature also has tons of functionalities as well such as viewing news and blogs related to stocks that are in your watchlist. You can even look at the upcoming dividends for stocks in your watchlist as well!
On top of setting your watchlist, you can also set alerts for these stocks as well! You’ll receive notifications if any of them have triggered.
(Keep in mind that these triggers will only come after market close because the site is not updated in real time)
User Friendly Website
The overall site is very user friendly ! There is also a quick start page that covers most of the features available. New users can easily understand and use the website without much hassle or confusion. This is also one of the reasons why I love using it so much !
